By accessing or using Onicha Marketplace, you agree to be bound by these Terms and
Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the platform.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes
constitutes acceptance.
Onicha Marketplace is a digital venue that connects buyers and sellers. We do not
own, handle, or
ship any items listed on the platform. All transactions are between the buyer and
seller directly,
with the platform providing an escrow payment service to protect both parties.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login
credentials.
You agree to provide accurate and up‑to‑date information during registration
and when updating your profile.
Each person may maintain only one account unless authorised by the platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these
terms.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, including title,
description, price, and images.
Listings must not contain misleading or false information.
Prohibited items include: illegal drugs, weapons, stolen goods, counterfeit
products, and any item that violates Nigerian law.
We reserve the right to remove any listing at our discretion without prior
notice.
Listing an item does not guarantee a sale.
All payments must be made through the platform’s integrated payment gateway.
When a buyer pays, the funds are held securely by the platform (escrow).
The seller only receives the funds after the buyer confirms receipt and
satisfaction of the item.
The platform deducts a 5% commission from the final agreed price. The seller
receives 95%.
Any attempt to transact outside the platform voids our buyer/seller
protection.
After payment, the seller is expected to deliver the item as described.
The buyer must confirm delivery via the platform’s “Confirm Delivery” button
once the item is received.
Funds are released to the seller’s registered bank account only after
delivery is confirmed.
If the buyer fails to confirm delivery within a reasonable time, the seller
may contact support for manual review.
Sellers must provide valid bank account details in their profile to receive
payouts.
Withdrawals are initiated by the seller after the buyer confirms delivery.
The platform transfers 95% of the agreed price directly to the seller’s bank
account.
Withdrawals are typically processed instantly but may be subject to banking
delays.
Premium listings (“Sponsored” or “Featured”) receive higher visibility on
the platform.
Payments made for premium listings are non‑refundable.
A premium listing does not guarantee a sale; it only increases exposure.
The duration and placement of premium listings are at the platform’s
discretion.
We collect and store your name, email, phone number, profile picture, and
bank details solely for platform operations.
Your personal information is never sold or shared with third parties except
as required by law.
Communication between buyers and sellers is encouraged to remain on the
platform for safety.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting
support.
Always meet in safe, public locations for physical exchanges.
Never share your banking passwords or OTPs with anyone.
Report suspicious users or listings immediately using the platform’s support
system.
The platform is not liable for losses resulting from off‑platform deals or
misuse of the escrow system.
If a dispute arises between buyer and seller, either party may contact
platform support.
The platform will review the available evidence (chat logs, delivery proof,
payment records) and mediate fairly.
In cases of suspected fraud, the platform reserves the right to hold funds
until the dispute is resolved.
Decisions made by the platform’s support team are final.
Onicha Marketplace provides the platform “as is” without any warranties.
We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed.
We are not responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages
arising from the use of the platform.
Users assume full responsibility for their transactions and interactions on
the platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these
terms.
Users may request account deletion at any time. All associated data will be
removed within a reasonable period.
Completed transactions remain on record for auditing and legal purposes even
after account deletion.
